The Department of Chemistry is functioning from the inception of the college and it was established in the year 1992. There are six well experienced, qualified and dedicated teaching faculty members. The department offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes. The department is periodically organizing conferences, seminars and workshops programmes to bridge the gap between industrialists, researchers and academicians.
A team of dedicated teachers with rich experience in research, frame curriculum and modify it periodically to accommodate the latest developments in chemistry. The department reaches out to the local community through department clubs (Aroma Chem Club), video conference, industrial visit and PG service learning.
The department has funded by the DST-FIST ‘0’ level and the overall science departments have centralized instrumentation facility centre to develop and establish a research activities to the students. The department has well equipped laboratory functioning for academic and research activities of the department.
