About the Department

The department was started in the year 2002. The courses are designed to suit the current trend in academic and employment opportunities such as Nanophysics, Physics for Competitive Exams, Applied Optics. The department has well equipped laboratory with sophisticated equipment to cater the needs of practical course work of under graduate students.

The department has tie-up with an Aravind Optics company in Puducherry for in-plant training and placements. Alumnae of the department are well placed in colleges, research institutes and government offices.
